The purposes of this research were to determine : 1) the readiness in educational administration of the district administrative organizations, 2) the differences of the readiness in educational administration of sub-district administrative organizations and municipality, and 3) the readiness approach for educational administration of district administrative organizations. The instruments employed in this study were the questionnaire and constructed interview, which based on Hersey and Blanchard and the educational administration of the national education legislation in B.E.2542, article No. 39. The samples of this research were 20 municipalitys, which competitive awarded winner schools in during 1998-2000, and the 20 sub-districts administrative organizations 1st class and 2nd class throughout the country. The data were analyzed through the application of percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and content analysis. The findings were as follows : 1) The readiness in educational administration of sub-district administrative organizations was overall at a high level. When considering separately by aspects ; It was found that the budgeting, personnel and general administration were at a high level, except the academic administration was at moderate level. The readiness in educational administration of municipality was overall at a high level. 2) The comparison of the readiness in educational administration between sub-district administrative organizations and the municipality was significantly difference at .05 3) The readiness approach for educational administration of district administrative organizations; in each aspect; academic and general administration by organizing and training staffs, teachers and administrators, budgeting administration by expounding the executives and communities, personnel administration by organizing the school executives with accountability.
